District Elderly Community Centre
The Centres provide one-stop community support service including personal and health services to the frail and healthy seniors as well a their family members, and to facilitate elders to further advance their skills and potential so as to serve the community. Also the centres emphasises the sense of respect, love and care towards the elderly, together with various supporting functions to allow their aging in place.
Neighbourhood Elderly Centre
The Centres provide educational, developmental, counselling, carer support, reaching-out and networking service etc., to inspire the elderly to make good use of their leisure time, widen their social contacts and enhance their skills to serve the community.
Integrated Home Care Service Team
Holistic care and support services such as meals in wheel, personal and nursing care, laundry, escorts services, household training, childcare, rehabilitation, purchase of daily necessities, carer supports, and respite services are provided to help the frail seniors, disabled individuals and needy families to overcome daily difficulties.
Day Care Centre for the Elderly
Centre-based services like personal and nursing care, meals, laundry, physiotherapy, social and recreational activities are provided for frail elderly to raise their self-care ability, not only to avoid early institutionalisation but also to relieve their family members’ pressure and promote family harmony.
Home for the Aged
Accommodation, meals, limited nursing care, social and recreational activities, counseling etc. are provided to the elderly who are capable of basic self-care and with high risk of staying home alone. Residents are encouraged to participate actively in centre affairs and to keep close contact with the community.
Care and Attention Home for the Elderly
Multi-faceted services of accommodation, meals, personal care (bathing, grooming), feeding, nursing (medication, injection, health check), physiotherapy, social and recreational activities, and counseling, etc. are delivered to elderly persons with poor health, chronic disease or functional disabilities, enabling them to lead a dignified and quality life.
Elderly Continuing Education Centre
In order to promote lifelong learning, the Centre offers teachers’ training courses, skills and online interactive learning programme to the retired.
Farm for The Healthy Aged
This innovative project is to foster the interest of a group of organic aged farmers. This organic farm is run absolutely by the elderly, it can serve as a promotion means to widely advocate environmental protection and highlight the importance of t he “sense of worthiness for the elderly” . Besides, the farm also performs as a proper platform for interaction between the youth and the elderly.
