Verint volunteers accompanied underprivileged children for a Tai O trip

Verint Systems (Asia Pacific) Ltd. and HKYWCA co-organised a Tai O trip for underprivileged children to have fun.

The tour was arranged by YWCA Y Eco Tour Tai O Cultural and Ecological Integrated Resource Centre. Tai O resident served as tour guide and introduced the architecture and stilt houses built on water to let participants know more about local living style. The kids paid full attention to the presentation to grasp all the information for the cultural knowledge competition. They also learnt to communicate and cooperate with others. Besides, the local demonstrated how to making traditional food and invited volunteers and children to try making sun-dried duck egg yolks and bean porridge. At last, the children tasted the beans porridge and brought a duck egg yolk back home for sharing.

The Association would like to express our thankfulness to Verint Systems (Asia Pacific) Ltd. for organising the meaningful event. The tour let underprivileged children learn about local ecology and cultural heritage in Tai O, and learn that they are being cared.
