“Fly Project” provides free playgroup sessions for underprivileged families

HKYWCA organises the “Fly Project” for the third consecutive years, to provide free parent-child playgroup sessions for underprivileged families. It aims at encouraging toddlers to learn from daily life experience, and providing training and support to their parents.

Playgroups allow young kids to meet different people and have contact with the world, which is good for their learning and development. To help families who cannot afford playgroup expenses, the “Fly Project” offers toddlers free trainings, which strength their muscle development, self-care skills, social development, etc. The project also provides parenting trainings, to assist parents in understanding children’s behavioural problems, home safety, etc.

The project was supported by Simon K. Y. Lee Children’s Fund, and developed by specialists from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the University of Hong Kong, aiming at reducing children's learning diversity. For enquiries, please contact our staff at 3907 0491.
