The purpose of the Association is to advance the spiritual, mental, physical and social welfare of individuals, to promote their growth in Christian character and to cultivate Christian spirit of fellowship and service.

The badge of the Y.W.C.A., with its equal sides, symbolises the development of the body, mind and spirit of the whole person, while the central horizontal line represents the social relationship development. With an all-round development, one will lead an abundant life of truth, joy and peace, in rich contributions to the society.
