How well do you understand children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Do you know about their talents and strengths?

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Bayview Sunshine Hong Kong and organised by YWCA A-Strength Family Club, “Looking for A-Strength Life” Art and Experience Exhibition will be held on 29-30 Apr at L1 Gallery, Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre. The aim of the exhibition is to let the public understand the world of ASD children.

The exhibition will feature nearly 100 artworks by ASD children, including free drawings, self-portraits, perspective drawings, and bus art puzzle. ASD children will even work as tour guides, breaking the stereotype of them having poor communication skills. They will present their creative concepts and the story behind the artwork to the visitors. 

There are different interactive sessions in which the visitors can participate, including a themed photo zone, and stamp-collecting challenge, etc. Admission is free. Souvenirs made with ASD children's paintings will be given to visitors who complete the assigned tasks. Come and join us to explore the universe of ASD children!

Y-SENse empowers children with special educational needs (SEN), and provides support to their parents. The interdisciplinary team consists of social workers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, special child care workers etc., and assists families with children with dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder, and speech and language impairment. The newly launched “A-Strength Family Club” online platform aims to support ASD children and share information with their parents.
