Christmas lights sightseeing and caroling on an open-top bus
Christmas has just passed. YWCA is glad to organise two open-top sightseeing bus tours with Citybus Limited (Citybus) and New World First Bus Services Limited (NWFB), to celebrate the festive season.
On the Saturday before Christmas, a bunch of people, each with a Santa hat, boarded an open-top bus and left Tin Shui Wai. The bus was full of Christmas vibes, thanks to the support from Citybus and NWFB. The kids were enthusiastic and adored the Christmas lights and decorations along the way. The Christmas songs and quizzes engrossed the participants, and the gift presentation further lightened the atmosphere. Before the tour ended, participants took a walk along Avenue of Stars and enjoyed the night view of the Victoria Harbour.
On Christmas Eve, around 20 young people from Sforzando Wind Ensemble, Secret 2.0 and FRD did a mini concert on the bus. They played Christmas carols and pop songs non-stop for almost 3 hours and attracted a lot of attention. Some from the crowd even cheered for the performers.
Both the grass-root families in Tin Shui Wai and the young performers enjoyed the bus tours. The Association was thankful for Citybus and NWFB’s invitation so as to bring unique adventure to our members and service users during Christmas.
