Opening ceremony of Helen Lee Day Care Centre for The Elderly was held on Oct 17. The Most Revd Andrew Chan, Archbishop and Primate of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui, Mr. Wong Kwok Chun, Alex, Deputy Director of Social Welfare (Services) officiated at the opening ceremony together with Mrs. Helen Lee, the benefactor of the centre, Mrs. Patricia S H Ling, MH, JP., Honorary President, Ms. Wong Chiang Yen, May, First Vice-President, Ms. Yvonne Yeung, Chief Executive of YWCA. Three stage performances, dragon boat dance, fashion show and K-pop Flower Dance, showcased the charisma of the elderly. 

Situated in Queen's Hill Estate, the Day Care Centre was named after Mrs. Helen Lee, who donated HK$8 million to support the setup. The centre serves North District elderly aged 60 or above who are frail or suffering from dementia. Day care services, rehabilitation and social activities will be provided to help elderly maintain physical mobility and improve quality of life, and hence support aging in place. Flexible half-day and extended care services further encourage elderly to build independent life with social networks. Moreover, the centre also connects to multiple supporting platforms to provide assistance to caretakers and relieve care burden.

Mondays to Saturdays: 8am – 6pm
Extended hours (Reservation is required)
Mondays to Saturdays: 7:45am – 8pm, 6pm – 7:45pm (excluding public holidays) 
Sundays and public holidays: 8am – 6pm (excluding the first 3 days of Lunar New Year)

Fee
Charged on a monthly or daily basis, and may be revised annually, according to Social Welfare Department
