Helen Lee Kindergarten emphasises learning through play
YWCA has accumulated more than 70 years of experience in early childhood education and has been welcomed by parents over the years. As new school premises in Tung Chung was allocated to the Association, we are grateful to announce the expansion of our early childhood education services into the Islands district for the first time.
Helen Lee Kindergarten is located at a 8,000 square feet new premises in Mun Tung Estate, Tung Chung. Circles are used extensively in the design to illustrate the infinite potential of the students. The vibrant colour combination further explains our vision – to arouse the children’s interest in learning, and develop their potential and creativity.
As children’s senses develop rapidly before the age of six, Helen Lee Kindergarten is equipped with a variety of facilities, which are rare in local kindergartens, to enhance sensory stimulation and strengthen motor skills. For example, the Signature Play Feature consists of sensory walls, climbing components, and a slide made of different materials. There is also an indoor Water Play Area. Children can learn to get along with others and establish mutual respect through play.
YWCA is devoted to promoting whole-person development. Helen Lee Kindergarten aims at "establishing a caring culture and harmonious learning atmosphere to foster active learners and healthy children". Following the objective of the Association’s Early Childhood Education Department, the Kindergarten will launch the "Love + Reading" parent-child paired reading programme and adopt the "Family Wellness Vitamins" to nurture students into passionate and sound individuals.
Helen Lee Kindergarten has joined the Education Bureau’s Kindergarten Education Scheme, where half-day classes are free. Enrollment for the school year 2021/22 has started! Feel free to contact us for more details.
