Online video platform “Oops Camping” heats up this summer
The pandemic has created a lot of stress and fears, and has put summer plans on hold. With the efforts of different YWCA departments, we are proud to present a new online video platform Oops Camping, which features 12 unique variety shows, bringing joy and happiness into your home.
The 2 channels of Oops Camping, namely “Children & Family” and “Youth & Community”, produce 12 programmes for audience of different ages. One of the reality shows in the Children & Family Channel “Little Fools Exploring Lantau” documents the lives of 8 children on Lantau Island. They had to overcome adversity and complete various challenges with limited resources. The show is not only entertaining, but also teaches kids about money management and self-care skills. It is definitely family-friendly.
The Youth & Community Channel’s talent show “Give It A Try” invites famous local band KOLOR to interact with young people who love music. Audience will see how participants make friends with and learn from each other through music battles. Their persistence and transformation is very inspiring. In the last episode, we are expecting KOLOR to jam with the young musicians, offering them valuable stage experience. Other programmes include young volunteers exploring the uniqueness of different communities.
More than 100 volunteers, service users and social workers participate in the preparation of Oops Camping, and everyone tries their best in the production of the 12 programmes. The team hopes to pass positivity, happiness, optimism and persistence in chasing dreams to the youngsters, and hence cheers everybody up under the epidemic.
