Kids were forced to spend their early-coming summer vacation at home due to the epidemic and unable to take part in outdoor activities with friends. As such, our Youth and Community Service Department launched a 5-day online workshop “Chill Task Give Me 5” for 8 to 12 years old kids during Easter Holiday, aiming to nurture them to be a kind person through completion of different daily tasks, as well as showing care and support to family and anti-pandemic heroes.
In the workshop, children were instructed by social workers to use the materials inside the treasure box, including origami, postcard, board game, etc. Playing finger board game helped family members develop caring and loving relationships through physical touches. Kids also learned to express their heartfelt thanks to anti-pandemic heroes by setting up miniatures with brick figure, hand drew scene and their caring message.
Both parents and kids appreciated this meaningful event. To foster kindness in more kids, the Association will launch this workshop again in late-July.
