Tailor-made rehabilitation programme enhances body wellness
Identifying the best antidote can do more with less. YWCA Y Care launches a new rehabilitation programme for patients suffering from stroke, Parkinson’s disease, fracture, etc. Personalised training items help patients to regain autonomy in daily routine.
Intensive Rehabilitation Session targets to enhance patients’ body wellness and slow down health deterioration. Physiotherapist or occupational therapist will first assess patients’ physical condition and needs before composing the training programme. Charged on a per-session basis, each session includes a 30-min workout involving fitness equipment, and a 60-min 1 on 1 training guided by rehab trainer. Such arrangement ensures that patients complete the exercise properly, and enables professionals to keep track of the progress and make adjustment when necessary.
Many serious illnesses can be nipped in the bud if they are detected early enough. The same applies to rehabilitation training. The earlier one starts, the better the effect will be. To encourage early intervention, Y Care offers patients discharged from the hospital within 6 months around 40% off for the Rehabilitation Programme for Lately Discharged, which comprises the initial assessment and 8 training sessions.
