The “CLAP@JC” initiative, co-organised by YWCA, received the “Grand Prix Award in Driving Change” and Platinum Award, “Excellence in Impact Award” at “the Champions for Good Awards” organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). Officiating guest Mr. Chris Sun, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, joined the Revd. Canon The Honourable Peter Douglas Koon Ho-ming, BBS, JP, Chairman of HKCSS and Ms. Chan Man Yee, Grace, Chief Executive of HKCSS, alongside over 300 representatives from social welfare, business, government, and academic sectors attended the ceremony.

“The Champions for Good Awards” recognise outstanding innovation and cross-sector collaboration in social services. This year's awards were divided into two major categories —“Grand Prix Award in Service” and “Grand Prix Award in Driving Change”, covering different fields, including eldercare, youth services, rehabilitation, etc. Amidst fierce competition, the "CLAP@JC" initiative, jointly promoted by YWCA, Hong Kong Christian Service, Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong, Caritas Hong Kong Youth and Community Services, Hong Kong Youth Service and The Society of Rehabilitation and Crime Prevention, Hong Kong, underwent three rigorous evaluation rounds and validation by cross-sector experts, stood out with its groundbreaking approach. 

This award-winning project, initiated by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, successfully established a strategic alliance bridging the education, social welfare, and business sectors to transform youth career development paradigms. By developing the "Hong Kong Career Development Self-Assessment Benchmark", it has assisted tens of thousands of youths in building career aspirations and skills. Currently connecting 144 secondary schools, 115 youth service units, and over 3,000 enterprises, it forms Hong Kong's largest career support network. As a strategic partner, YWCA continues to guide youths in breaking traditional frameworks and exploring diverse development paths.

“The Champions for Good Awards” judging panel brings together diverse perspectives from government, business, and academic institutions to foster mutual learning and progress among social welfare organisations. This honour not only affirms the profound impact of YWCA's innovative practices but also highlights the pivotal value of cross-sector collaboration in advancing sustainable social development.
