YWCA nominated outstanding young people of the Youth Employment and Training Programme (YETP) to run for the Most Improved Trainees 2024. Rinna Mok received the Most Improved Trainees Award, which recognised her effort and motivated her to advance career development. 

Rinna is a pet lover. Although she had enrolled in a pet grooming course, it was just for fun and she had no ideas on her future career. YWCA’s case manager encouraged her to further develop her interest and learn more about pet care, first aid and pet training by taking “Foundation Certificate in Pet Care Worker” offered by the Employees Retraining Board. Upon completion of the course, Rinna was employed by a pet hospice service company as customer service officer. She found her direction and goals to bring comfort to the pet owners who have lost their beloved. She also developed empathy towards others and became more mature in dealing with different projects.

YWCA has become YETP's partner for years, offering career planning, workplace attachment, pre-employment and on-the-job training for young school leavers aged 15 to 24 with educational attainment at sub-degree level or below. This programme enables young people to better understand themselves and their work aptitudes while enriching their job skills and experience so as to enhance employability.
