In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Waihong Services Group held a resin and mobile phone strap workshop, inviting three ladies from the Association’s "Career and life development supportive service for young mothers" to be instructors. The event combined skills transfer with social care, allowing young mothers to practice their skills through teaching while promoting interaction between the company and the community.

Before the workshop commenced, the volunteers learnt about the young mothers who, aged from 15 to 24, juggled parenting and work, and honed their skills through training. They patiently demonstrated how to weave mobile phone straps and charms, and shared their experience so that the volunteers could made their desired patterns. The volunteers focused on their work, and had an enjoyable and pleasant afternoon.

Thanks to Waihong Services Group for organising this event, which not only enabled young mothers to accumulate teaching experience as instructors, but also boosted their confidence to take a step forward in career planning. The Association hoped that the community can provide more employment opportunities for young mothers, so that they can develop their career despite having a family.
