Organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service, 2023 Best Practice Awards in Social Welfare aims at recognising and promoting innovative, inspiring and forward-looking practical experiences in the social service sector. “YWCA Jockey Club Joyful Transition with Families” grasped two awards including Outstanding Social Service Award and Outstanding Performance Indicators Award (Collaboration & Synergy).

YWCA Jockey Club Family Wellness Centre implemented “YWCA Jockey Club Joyful Transition with Families” to offer practical advices and emotional support to primary 6 students and their families. The programme aimed to help students to develop positive emotion throughout the supporting activities and specific support to families in need. Sponsored by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the programme was implemented to support students entering secondary school, enable them to enhance learning ability, interpersonal skill and relations with family members.
