YWCA x Verint Career Planning Sharing Session assisted grassroots teenagers to prepare for their future
It is always good to formulate a plan for our career as early as we can. However, for young people who do not have enough life experience and social capital, it is a difficult task for them to realise one’s potentials and develop a feasible career path. To broaden young people and their parents’ imagination about work, YWCA Tin Shui Wai Integrated Social Service Centre, with great support from the Verint Systems (Asia Pacific) Limited, launched the “YWCA x Verint Career Planning Sharing” for the underprivileged from Yuen Long District.
Through introducing Verint’s corporate profile, and sharing the requirements, job natures as well as the career path of different roles, e.g. accountants, information technology specialists, etc., the online conference aimed to help participants to grasp their interests and prepare for future opportunities.
Verint representatives also shared their stories with the audience, and encouraged young people to explore different possibilities before deciding what they really enjoy. Knowing the pandemic has made lives difficult, supermarket vouchers were given to participants who responded actively during the interaction section, as a sign of support.
