YWCA new service helps retired couples build joyful marriage
Many couples underestimate the impact of retirement on marriage, and may face relationship challenges. To guide retired couples in their new page of life and enjoy the felicity of marriage, YWCA Jockey Club Joyful Marriage Project (“the Project”) is launched.
The Project is organised by YWCA Jockey Club Y Evergreen Learning Centre (H.K. Island) and helps participants search for the meaning of marriage. Following the “PEARL” model, retired couples develop common life goals and interests, which is vital to the building of resilience, and helps them support each other until old.
The first batch of participants attended three sharing sessions earlier and learnt about marriage strengthening and good family financial habits. They will join different activities in the second phase, e.g. aromatherapy massage for couples, wine tasting, calligraphy, floral design, floor curling, etc. The more common interests they develop, the more happy moments they can share.
