YWCA received noodles from Swire Properties’ Matching Donation Campaign
Swire Properties and the Swire Trust launched the “Noodles for Love” $50 Matching Donation Campaign, with the aim to generate positive energy in the greater Hong Kong community, while sharing in the joy of cooking and spending quality time with family and friends.
For each purchase of a “Noodles for Love” Charity Pack priced at HK$50, the Swire Trust, through its TrustTomorrow initiative, has matched the purchase and donated one pack to the Association’s service users. In the packs that are sent to the beneficiaries, a “SEWomen Reusable Mask” is included to help continue the fight against COVID-19. Beneficiaries were encouraged to share happiness with their family and friends in a “delicious” way. A charity sale counter was set up in Cityplaza, and unemployed young people and young mothers of our Career and Life Development Service Team were invited to assist in the operation - a great opportunity for them to learn to be positive and proactive.
The Association will distribute the noodles packs to 1,472 service users including young mothers, grassroots families, elderly and the unemployed. We are grateful for Swire Properties’ invitation and will pass the joy on to our service users.
