YWCA organises ChariTea on March 8, i.e. International Women’s Day every year to send blessings to women. In 2023, the Association was finally back in the community to distribute tea bags to the public, after 3 years’ suspension because of the pandemic.

Noticing that Hong Kong women generally lack exercise and neglect one’s health, the Association encouraged women to change their lifestyle and spare time for exercise. With the help of the Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association and Asian Academy for Sports & Fitness Professionals, YWCA was glad to invite a number of Hong Kong athletes and fitness trainers to promote the importance of exercise.

The Association was grateful for the support from our corporate partners, for giving out tea bags to their members and customers in various retail outlets, and funding the event which in turn supports women in need through the Association’s self-financed services.
