The Association releases tips on class resumption for primary school students
As the threat of the pandemic has slightly subsided, schools are preparing for students to resume classes. The Association’s Y Family has collaborated with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust under “JC A-Connect: Jockey Club Autism Support Network” and released guidelines on class resumption for primary school students, parents and teachers.
While class suspension leads to unexpected changes in daily routine, class resumption will also bring along confusion. The Association’s social workers and educational psychologists understand the complicated feelings and hence write a series of guidelines to assist parents and teachers to explain class resumption arrangement to the children, so as to help them cope with the stress. Different scenarios are used to illustrate the useful information, for example the new class schedule, and measures to prevent the spread of pandemic at school.
