Women Affairs Department sent anti-epidemic goods to the underprivileged
HKYWCA Women Affairs Department started a programme in February, to collect the anti-epidemic goods from the society and re-distribute the items to underprivileged women and elderly, single-parent families and cleansing workers. We wish to enhance collaboration among community for preventive work.
The Association packed over 500 caring kits, which consisted of face masks, sanitizers and alcohol wipes collected from the community, tea tree oil hand cream made by female volunteers, red dates tea bags, pamphlet providing epidemic prevention tips and a set of four postcards. Volunteers then visited Prince Edward, Sham Shui Po, Pak Tin etc. to distribute the kits to cleansing workers and the grassroots.
Besides, the Association prepared a series of video to share exercise tips, encouraging women to take good care of their physical and emotional health. If you are interested in the video, please check it out on the Facebook Page of HKYWCA Women Affairs Department.
Thanks to everyone who donated anti-epidemic products to us. The generous acts have helped the needy in the community. The programme is still in progress. Please contact Ms. Tsang at 3443 1600 for details if you would like to help.
