HKYWCA “DSE Support Bags” are freely distributed to candidates
DSE (Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination), which had been postponed because of the coronavirus outbreak, finally began on April 24. Candidates have to not only deal with the exams but also worry about the shortage of anti-epidemic supplies. Thanks to the donation from different parties, HKYWCA has prepared and distributed “DSE Support Bags” to more than 250 students free of charge through our Centres in Sha Tin and Tseung Kwan O.
Each “DSE Support Bag” contains surgical masks, hand sanitizers, correction tape, healthy drinks, etc. Cheer cards were also included to ease the tension for the candidates.
HKYWCA Sha Tin Integrated Social Service Centre allocated time slots to candidates who had registered online to pick up the “DSE Support Bag", saving their time of waiting on site. On the other hand, Tseung Kwan O Integrated Social Service Centre cooperated with Chang Pui Chung Memorial School, HKCCCU Logos Academy and GT (Ellen Yeung) College, and distributed the materials to candidates when they went back to school for their admission forms.
The Association’s social workers also plan to set up booths outside exam centers to distribute the "DSE Support Bag". We wish to cheer for the candidates and let them know that they are not alone.
