Microsoft Hong Kong introduced fun with technology to the public
Microsoft Hong Kong invited the Association’s Career Development and Continuing Education Department to co-organise an exploration day, to let our service users have a taste of fun with technology.
Microsoft Hong Kong set up booths which combined latest technologies e.g. AI, big data, Minecraft, and Hong Kong local culture, for example Hong Kong-style cafes and Lam Tsuen Wishing Trees. 200 participants, which included elderly from the Association’s Chi Po Neighbourhood Elderly Centre, members of Y Evergreen, parents from Athena Kindergarten, teenagers from Mong Kok Continuing Education Centre, members of Pivot Centre, students from HK Juvenile Care Centre Chan Nam Cheong Memorial School and VTC Youth College (Tseung Kwan O), joined the event to explore how technology benefits daily life. They were impressed by the experience of consulting Chinese medicine practitioner through chatbot, landing at Kai Tak Airport on a flight simulator and wishing upon the electric wishing tree. The wonderful event finally ended with participants taking photos in front of the ice cream van backdrop.
Thanks for Microsoft Hong Kong’s invitation so that our service users can know more about integration between technology and local culture.
