HKYWCA Sydney Leong Holiday Lodge launches earth oven building and cooking workshop
Earth oven is one of the most ancient cooking structures. People gather a large pile of earth and allow it to be burned down to a smoulder. Food is then placed inside and cooked. This cooking method can keep the original flavour of the food.
It is common for people nowadays to dine out and consume processed foods because of the busy life. To let people try the original taste of the food and appreciate the wisdom of the people, Sydney Leong Holiday Lodge launches an earth oven building and cooking workshop.
Ms. Emma Liao, the instructor of the workshop, is a member of Taiwan Permaculture Institute and is experienced in earth oven building. She has created more than 60 earth ovens, including one in Mui Wo, Hong Kong. She visits countries like Iran and Cambodia every year to pass the skills of building earth oven.
You are cordially invited to sign up for the workshop now! You may even become a part-time outdoor cooking instructor after completing the course.
