Excellence Fitness and HKYWCA co-organised falls prevention exercise classes
The Association’s Chi Po Neighbourhood Elderly Centre receives support from Excellence Fitness to organise exercise classes for the elders and their caregivers, to help them remain in good health and prevent falls.
Elderly fall easily because of their weak lower limbs and ageing joints. In order to improve elders’ muscular strength and balance, trainers and volunteers from Excellence Fitness host regular exercise classes for the members of the Association in Sham Shui Po, and supervise the elders to complete different stretching and muscle training exercises. They also offer help in the canteen and have lunch with the elders.
Thanks to Excellence Fitness and the volunteers for spending time with the elders, who enjoy the activity very much and find the class very useful.
