The Association Girls’ Basketball Team participated in the 29th Hong Kong Social Workers’ General Union basketball competition and came third, beating Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Council in their last game.
The game season started in January 2018. With two wins from the opening five matches, HKYWCA team entered the third place playoff and was down by one in the first period. Yet, they managed to turn the tables after adjusting tactics. With perfect defense and pretty good scoring ability, the team won the game at 29:5.
The achievement is one of the best out of many years and we are all happy about it. The players deserve praise for all their hard work and perseverance.
