The Chinese Cheongsam Association (HK) (“The Association”) visited HKYWCA’s Ming Yue District Elderly Community Centre and Cheung Ching Neighbourhood Elderly Centre to celebrate Dragon Boat Festival with 130 elders.
We were honoured to have Ms. Lam Ying Kwan, the Chinese Cheongsam Association (HK) Blue Diamond Honorary President to attend the event and give the opening speech. Ms. Lam wished the elders happiness and hoped that all participants would enjoy the event. At the beginning, the fitness trainer invited by the Association demonstrated different exercises that helped the elder to remain healthy. After the warm-up, the elderly got excited about the games like charades. Members of the Association also sang Cantopop songs, of which the elders clapped their hands to the rhythmic beat. At last, the elders received a gift bag, which consisted of biscuits and medical balm, not to mention the festival rice dumpling and fruits. All participants were happy with the festive Dragon Boat Festival event.
