An open day was organised for HKYWCA Jockey Club Social Service Building located at Man Fuk Road, Homantin on 6th May, 2018 to introduce Y Family, Y Care, Y Plus and Y Evergreen’s services to the public.
On the open day, game booths of juggling, magic show, African drum, handicraft etc. were set up at the hall and attracted many families. The public was also invited to take a tour to visit the centres on different floors, and to take part in various trial programmes to know more about our services. Y Family offered parent-child Latin and Jazz dance, Y-Flight picture book sharing and board games; Y Care provided dancing class, yoga and BOSU training for elders; Y Plus had coffee making, pet care and cooking demonstration; and Y Evergreen promoted sand painting, electronic darts game for retirees. The participants were particularly interested in the activities and some of them enrolled in the regular programmes on site.
