HKYWCA Chiu Oi Wah Nursery School organised an open day, encouraging parents to “play with the children”. While parents learnt more about the school life of their children, all parties also enjoyed their time with food and toys popular in the past.
The event was kicked off by singing and dancing performance by the kids, and was honored to have Mrs. Sze Lam Pui Shan, School Board Chairman of HKYWCA Chiu Oi Wah Nursery School, Mr. Lam Yuen Ho, Service Director of the Association, and Ms. Lau Kwok Kiu, Chief Principal of the Association for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Booths were set up to introduce the school curriculum and religion and share the religion video to the parents and the public. Others, including old toys sharing, maze running, handicraft workshops and interactive games with foreign teacher, provided a lot of fun to the visitors. The Association was pleased to have Hasbro volunteer team joining us and hosting a planting workshop. It allows children to learn about environmental protection while enjoying their play time. Visitors were also served with typical Hong Kong-style snacks before taking photos to record the happy moment.
