Elders from HKYWCA Lam Woo Memorial Day Care Centre for the Elderly had fun with Chevalier Group volunteer team in Tai Tong Ecopark.
The volunteers picked up the elders from the day care centre and went to Tai Tong Ecopark together. They arrived at lunchtime and enjoyed a wonderful meal. The volunteers took good care of the elders and had a good chat. The elders felt the love and were very happy.
After lunch, the volunteers initiated warm-up mini games which allowed the elders to exercise a bit and improve their limbs’ mobility. Then, they toured around the park and met different animals, such as horses and sheep. They also enjoyed the fresh air in the Ecopark. After the trip, the elders received a photo taken during the event. Some expressed happiness as they have not visited the countryside for a long time. The trip was enjoyable and memorable.
Lam Woo Memorial Day Care Centre for the Elderly serves those who are weak and with low mobility. They seldom go out and have fun. The company of the volunteers made it possible for them to visit the countryside. The Association would like to thank Chevalier Group for organising such a meaningful event for the needy.
