As part of Morgan Stanley’s Global Volunteer Month, over 20 volunteers visited the Association’s Cheung Ching Neighbourhood Elderly Centre and had fun with the elderly living in Tsing Yi.
Volunteers participated in two DIY activities with the elderly. In the first workshop, they made organic soap which can be used to replace chemical ones, in order to promote green living. During their second visit, they unleashed their creativity to decorate flower pots with succulents and accessories.
These activities fostered transgenerational harmony. The elders had a chance to have more contact with the outside world and learn making different handicrafts. It was good for promoting active healthy ageing. HKYWCA appreciates Morgan Stanley’s commitment to giving back to the community. The Association looks forward to future collaboration with Morgan Stanley to serve people with different needs.
