Many consider the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (known as “DSE”) a great challenge and experience a lot of pressure before the exams. HKYWCA Career and Life Adventure Planning Service Team (CLAP Team) organised a seminar before the exam period, to help DSE candidates stay calm when facing the challenges.
Stand-up comedian Mr. Tim Chan was invited to ease the tension of the candidates by telling jokes and funny stories. He said that he was bad at studying, but believed that optimism helped one to improve oneself and find one’s own path.
Another guest speaker Mr. Ernest Lee was a counselor and suggested different ways that might help candidates to better prepare for the examinations. He mentioned that every success comes after a series of failures. As long as youngsters do not let failures stopped them from battling on, they will attain success one day.
Every participants were given a candidate kit, which contains energy drink, chocolate, DSE examination timetable, etc. The kit was designed by young designer Red Nose Forest, who also shared how to manage a full time job and freelance design tasks at the same time.
