The Association has been working closely with PARKnSHOP to provide free food coupons for elderly living in different districts for 4 years. In 2016, PARKnSHOP partners with two of the Association’s Integrated Social Service Centres and benefits 300 elders living in Wong Tai Sin and Kwun Tong.
Apart from giving out food coupons, PARKnSHOP, HKYWCA’s Lung Cheung Integrated Social Service Centre and Lok Wah Integrated Social Service Centre jointly organised the “Elderly Food Coupon Shopping Day” on July 27. Accompanied by PARKnSHOP volunteers, 24 elders played interactive games, enjoyed afternoon tea, and redeemed food items and necessities on the food coupons. At last, the volunteers carried the products and sent the elders home.
