Y Farm let a stall in the Hong Kong Flower Show organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department in mid-March. Elder volunteers shared their experience in the cultivation of flowers with the public. Volunteers brought exquisite potted Gladioli to the Show in Victoria Park. The flowers were of different species and in various colour. The one with a mixed colour of purple and yellow was the most popular. The elders also introduced the facilities and services of Y Farm, inviting horticulture lovers to pay a visit and enjoy the nature. The elder volunteers are responsible for daily agriculture and day camp activities in Y Farm. Joining the Flower Show allowed them to share their experience with more people, and more importantly, to become involved in the community and enhance their self-worthiness. We welcome all those 50 years old or above to volunteer in Y Farm. For interested parties, please contact us at 2676 2525.
