Sponsored by the Board of Management of The Chinese Permanent Cemeteries, the Association organised the “Life Navigator” programme to help teenagers develop positive values and attitude towards life, and to care more about the community and cherish their lives.

The “Life Navigator” programme focused on enriching life in five aspects and organising events like visits for the young people. By learning about the stories of the elderly and needy in the society, it increased participants’ awareness of social issues and willingness to take care of strangers. Moreover, participants joined workshops on self-understanding which helped them to tackle challenges, and hence cherish their lives even under adverse circumstances. It is believed that participants will enjoy more quality time with their family members and friends to create fruitful and harmonious relationships.

The “Life Navigator” has proven to be a huge success. Some participants have decided to take one step further and form a new music band named “ELITE girls” in commemoration of the programme. They collaborated with a local band called Yusobeit to create a song in which their views on life are shared. The song has gained popularity on various social media channels and its message is clear: life has a way of taking us by surprise but it is not always doom and gloom, as we have the power to make it a fruitful one.
