Ming Yue District Elderly Community Centre organised a day tour for 80 elderly singletons and doubletons to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The event was sponsored by Social Welfare Department’s Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged, Hip Hing Construction and Vibro (H.K) Limited. 33 staffs from Hip Hing and Vibro (H.K) even volunteered at the event. They arranged a sightseeing tour to the Peak and helped the elders to take photos throughout the tour. The elderly were extremely excited as their impaired mobility and vulnerability limited their daily activities. After the trip, the volunteers and the elders had delicious food and mini game in a Chinese restaurant. The volunteers hosted a lucky draw to give the elders gifts and red packets too. The gathering ended with joy and wishes for the elders’ long life and good health.
