HKYWCA Women Affairs Department’s “Joy@Zonta” Mental Wellness Programme for Women helped women facing marital adversity to understand oneself with sandpainting workshops.  

Except learning the basic skills of sandpainting from the artist Ma Chai, the participants were also told not to fixate on the rights and wrongs. Instead, they should focus on the present, just like when one does sandpainting. For a group of women facing marital adversity, the workshops provided them a channel to alleviate pressure, and even excel themselves and restore confidence.

Sponsored by Zonta Club of Hong Kong East, “Joy@Zonta” Mental Wellness Programme for Women helped women facing marital adversity by organising activities and talks to promote mental health. It also took care of the participants’ emotion and tried to rebuild their self-esteem. Thanks to Zonta Club of Hong Kong East for supporting us to provide assistance to the women in need.
