HKYWCA launched the ChariTea Mid-Autumn Campaign to celebrate the upcoming festival, as well as to raise funds for children with special educational needs (SEN).

Each gift box set consists of 2 kinds of tea bags and a picture book “The Visible Secret”. The book is adapted from SEN children’s personal experience collected by the Association’s Y-SENse team. The three specially designed colour filters help readers to understand the problems, struggles and feelings of the children and their families, and how prejudice of the public hurts them.

Y-SENse comprises an interdisciplinary team of educational psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and speech therapists. It provides services for suspected or confirmed cases of children with dyslexia, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder, and speech and language impairment. Over 250 families with SEN kids have been served.

The gift box set costs HK$300 each and the net revenue will go to the self-financed Y-SENse services to support and empower children with SEN. You are welcomed to donate the picture book in the gift set. The Association will pass it to children with SEN to help their families to overcome the obstacles.
