Hong Kong Young Women's Christian Association (YWCA) has successfully held the "ChariTea" programme on International Women's Day, March 8th, for the 14th consecutive year. By distributing red date tea bags to the public, the campaign aims to remind people to care for women around them. After a three-year hiatus due to the pandemic, the tea distribution activity was successfully completed this morning with the assistance of over 100 volunteers from Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), our honorary sponsor of the event. Our team distributed red date tea bags at Wan Chai, Wong Tai Sin, Tai Wai, Sha Tin, and Tin Shui Wai this morning.
Mr. Eddie POON (third from the right), the Head of Public Affairs Department of HKJC, distributed red date tea bags on a footbridge in Wan Chai.
Mr. Freely CHENG, Executive Manager of HKJC External Affairs Department, handed out red date tea bags to women at the Tai Wai Station.
Other distribution points include designated stores of Watsons Hong Kong, 24/7 FITNESS, CHOI FUNG, Samuel Ashley, Joint Publishing HK, Chung Hwa Book Co., and The Commercial Press, as well as YWCA service units. For more information on the distribution details, please visit https://gift.ywca.org.hk.
