Founded in 1971, the Y.W.C.A. Hioe Tjo Yoeng College (HTYC) upholds the Christian value and provides quality education to nurture the students with meticulous care and love. HTYC endeavors to provide students guidance to understand the philosophy of the Bible and follow the example of Christ, just as the school motto - "think critically and be moral". We believe that “all are educable” and wish that every graduate can be a servant leader with knowledge, capability and good moral.
HTYC is an aided, co-educational EMI school that emphasizes students’ commitment to the society. Setting up the Elder Academy helps promote inter-generational harmony and allows students to equip themselves for the ageing population. HTYC has a long history of STEM education and students have been awarded for several app designs. Starting from 2015-2016, the School has been appointed by the government as one of the eight secondary schools that provides intensive training programme on STEM education.
