Aged Care and Community Health
Elderly

Population ageing is closely linked to health problems of older people. It is projected that the elderly population will grow to 2.52 millions in 2039, with over 70% suffering from at least one or more chronic diseases, placing a huge burden on social welfare and healthcare.

YWCA cares for the needs of the elderly, from frail elders who need nursing care, to healthy young olds who have retired, by providing a range of services including day care and residential care services, community and carer support, and continuing education. With the change of the times, forward-looking community health and rehabilitation services have been developed. We also take early intervention to enhance self-health management and quality of life in the community, and to promote holistic health and autonomous living among citizens, in support of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal 3 of 2030 Agenda: ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.
