The Association’s Women Affairs Department and Glocal Y co-organised the first “Friday Chat” online programme on 21 August, to discuss how the society stereotypes women about the role in the kitchen. 

HKYWCA’s Women Affairs Department and Youth and Community Service Department co-organised the 6th Hong Kong Glocal Y Kick-off Ceremony, and announced the official start of the recruitment for the programme, which nurtures young women to concern themselves with different societal problems between genders.

近年，香港女性在政商界的參與度和曝光率日增，但在社會的不同角落，女性形象及身份仍然有其局限性。隨著時代更迭，女性議題已成為今日各界不容忽視的焦點，大眾必須思考如何打破固有性別框架與觀念，為社會帶來更積極的改變。

適逢三八婦女節將至，女青於今天舉辦「3‧8女青日」暨「香港女聲Glocal Y」嘉許禮，以「培育年青女性‧領導時代發聲」為主題，表揚一班由女青「香港女聲Glocal Y」培育計劃栽培的年青女性領袖，希望她們日後繼續在社會不同崗位上，為女性權益發聲。

女青會長胡秀霞致辭時表示，女青多年來一直以關懷女性、讓女性發揮所長為己任，以「婦女參與」、「婦女支援」、「婦女能力建設」及「婦女發聲」為工作焦點，並藉着每年三月「國際婦女節」之良機，向社會大眾呈現服務啟廸及效益，透過婦女發聲共同為社會需要而努力。
