To celebrate International Women's Day, YWCA collaborates with The Hong Kong Jockey Club to offer care and blessings to women from all walks of life. "Jockey Club x YWCA 3.8 Little Hands, Big Love" encouraged children to convey their love to their mothers through massage.

In organising four aromatherapy workshops with guidance from therapist and assistance from about 80 members of the CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team, around 80 children learnt massage techniques and expressed love for their mothers through massage. At the beginning of the workshop, the volunteers and kids learnt about the scents and benefits of 3 types of aromatherapy oils including agarwood, sweet orange, and lavender. They then blended their own massage oils that they felt suitable for their moms. The aromatherapy therapist also demonstrated head, neck and hand massage techniques. All children and volunteers focused on learning and deepening their memory through practice. When the mothers showed up at the end of the workshop, the kids gave out the hand-written cards and massaged their moms with those specially blended oils. Mothers were deeply touched by the gentle little hands, and the scene was filled with delightful fragrance and warmth.

The programme also included the distribution of over 3,000 bottles of aromatherapy massage oil and tutorial video for reference. YWCA encouraged women to care for themselves. Creating quality "me time" in their daily lives, for example, giving themselves a good massage, can relieve stress. We also advise children to make use of the small gift to massage their mothers, sending both aroma and gratitude to their dear ones.
