Rooted in the YWCA’s longstanding commitment to whole-person development and community well-being, the establishment of the Primary and Community Health Department embodies our dedicated response to Hong Kong's evolving healthcare landscape and the critical need for preventive care.

Aligned with the Government’s Primary Healthcare Blueprint, we are taking proactive steps to prevent illness and promote wellness by prioritising affordability, accessibility, and inclusivity. The Primary and Community Health Department integrates a wide range of healthcare services, including the North District Health Centre Express, PHARM+ YWCA Community Pharmacy and Y Health and Wellness Centre, ensuring that vital healthcare touchpoints are accessible across the community. These are further supported by mobile clinics, telehealth solutions, and community outreach programmes, delivering care directly to those in need.

With a strong focus on prevention and community resilience, we are dedicated to empowering individuals to take ownership of their health through timely, proactive, and person-centred care. The department works in synergy with our established Aged Care and Community Health services, creating a seamless continuum of healthcare support across the lifespan. By cultivating robust public-private partnerships and fostering medical-social collaboration, we are advancing a shared vision of equitable, accessible, and holistic healthcare for all.
