YWCA “Career and life development supportive service for young mothers” assists “young mothers” to perform the role of a mother while pursuing study, career and other possible life goals. The programme was granted “The 6th Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Community Services Award” by Lions Clubs International District 303 - Hong Kong & Macao, China.

There are many prejudices against young mothers, e.g. fun-loving, unmotivated, indecent, etc. However, there are also ambitious young ladies who fight for their dreams while learning to be a good mother. Hoping to remove the undesirable labels for young mothers, YWCA invites members of the community such as photographers, narrative therapist and youth volunteers to presents their views through an exhibition. 

YWCA has been broadening its scope of career and life development services and looking into the needs of young mothers in recent years. The Association is grateful to partner with Zonta Club of the New Territories II to organise Art Jam-anthon to raise funds for the services. 

Everyone deserves a chance to start over, despite one's age. YWCA’s Yo Life Club, which aims to support young mothers, joined hands with an educational institution to bring young mothers and university students together in an innovative English learning project. The project allowed young mothers to fulfil their duties as mothers, and learn English and equip themselves at the same time.
