HKYWCA organised fitness walking event for elderly couples

Sponsored by the Hip Hing-Vibro Volunteer Team, HKYWCA Elderly Service Department co-organised a fitness walking event with Physical Fitness Association of Hong Kong, China and Chinese YMCA College at Ma On Shan Promenade successfully. The event aimed to encourage elderly couples to develop fitness walking as a common interest, which helps to keep relationship fresh.

HKYWCA and Elite Athletes visited the underprivileged

Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association (HKEAA) and HKYWCA co-organised “Together We Care 2018”. 1,600 volunteers including a number of elite athletes, e.g. Asian Games 2018 Jakarta Palembang medalists, e.g. Nicholas Edward Choi (Fencing), Tim Law (Triathlon), Lui Lai Yiu (Athletics), etc. visited 2,500 elders and low income families in 15 districts. They did not only present food and necessities to the needy, but also sent their warm blessings by showing concerns to the families’ needs.

Jockey Club “Happy Home Community” Rehabilitation Program provides one-stop rehabilitation support and care for the needy

Sponsored by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, YWCA Jockey Club Y Care Elderly Centre launches Jockey Club “Happy Home Community” Rehabilitation Program for the needy, so that they can enjoy comprehensive rehabilitation training and support services even when they are back home.

While elders who lack support will be given priority, the following patients are eligible for the service:

HKYWCA joins the Care for The Elderly Charity Ticket Campaign 2018 (“the Campaign”) to raise fund for the Association’s comprehensive and self-financed elderly social services, which include Y Care Day Care Centre for the Elderly (Yau Yat Chuen), Y Farm for Healthy Ageing, Chi Po Neighbourhood Elderly Centre and Cheung Ching Neighbourhood Elderly Centre. The Association invites your participation to help the needy!
