YWCA operates the North District Health Centre Express and provides primary healthcare services to people living or working in the community. The Association joined the grand ceremony of District Health Centre last week to exchange ideas with representatives from other districts.

The Government is determined to strengthen primary healthcare services across Hong Kong. District Health Centres are set up to enhance public awareness of disease prevention and self-health management capability. YWCA is honoured to become one of the operators, and started running the North District Health Centre Express (North DHC Express) in mid-October.

2021年《施政報告》提出進一步發展基層醫療健康的規劃藍圖，並將大力發展基層醫療和推動醫社合作。本會獲食物及衞生局批出營運北區地區康健站，為北區居民及區內就業人士提供多元化基層醫療及健康支援服務，共同守護健康，共建「北區健康城市」。北區地區康健站將於2021年10月18日起正式投入服務，主中心設於上水，另於粉嶺、沙頭角及打鼓嶺設立服務點，方便居民在就近地點取得服務。

我們相信「每個人都應享有健康的權利」，北區地區康健站以「燃動生活  健康北區」為主題，因應北區發展迅速，中心將配以嶄新的智能健康管理設備，協助使用者管理個人健康及掌握運動數據，並透過推行各類疾病預防、預約健康評估及篩查、護理諮詢及慢性疾病管理等服務，建設北區健康城市。
