Sponsored by Simon K.Y. Lee Karen’s Fund, the Association’s Career Development and Continuing Education Department launches “Project LIGHT” for working youths with bachelor degree and aged between 22 and 35 years old. The project aims at assisting young people to understand themselves and broaden horizon, hence better plan their career.
2020 marks the centenary of HKYWCA. Hongkong Post will issue the“Centenary of Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association” Commemorative Stamps, a set of 4 stamps, tomorrow (10 March), on the founding day of the Association to mark the momentous occasion.
To promote local handicraft industry, the Association held a Creative Market at the HKCC Piazza and attracted 50 artists.
Sponsored by SOCAM Development Limited and Partnership Fund for the Disadvantaged, HKYWCA Chi Po Neighbourhood Elderly Centre launched a programme to give away insect repellents to grassroots elders in Sham Shui Po, to help them tackle mosquito and pest problems.
HKYWCA celebrated the 10th anniversary of the ChariTea programme and distributed red-dates tea bags all over Hong Kong to send our blessings to women on the International Women’s Day.
Our staffs and volunteers sent out the red-dates tea bags with our warmest blessings in different districts e.g. Tin Shui Wai, Cheung Sha Wan, Shatin, Wan Chai etc. on March 8. We adopted the design of a letter for the tea bags, hoping that it carries the meaningful messages, and acts as a medium to send love and care to our important ones.
