With the support from the Community Investment and Inclusion Fund, YWCA and A.S. Community inclusion day increased public awareness on dementia

Dementia is a topic of growing concern in recent years. The Association is glad to work with Hang Lung Properties Limited and launch the 3-year Hang Lung x YWCA "Love. No. Limit" Dementia Friendly Program. To promote dementia friendliness among the public, a community inclusion day was held earlier, and attracted more than 2,000 participants, including families with dementia elderly as well as members of the wider community.

One-on-one training equips foreign domestic helpers with skills

Population ageing is expected to continue. People may rely on foreign domestic helpers to look after the aged members at home. However, helpers with no or little professional training might endanger the lives of the elderly and even the helpers themselves, not to mention the inability to take good care of the aged. To help families to cope with the potential threats, the Association launches the Y Good Helper programme.

Please support the Care for The Elderly Charity Ticket Campaign 2021

YWCA has been providing comprehensive social services to cater for the elderly. Despite the pandemic, we shares weal and woe with Hong Kong people, and keeps our faith during the hard times. To raise fund for our elderly services, including Y Farm for Healthy Ageing and Ming Yue District Elderly Community Centre, the Association joins the Care for The Elderly Charity Ticket Campaign 2021.
