YWCA joined hands with Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association, Hong Kong Jockey Club and Po Leung Kuk Riverain Primary School to organise “Together We Care 2025”. The Association mobilised its citywide network to coordinate venues across five districts and recruit 1,000 participants, including elderly living alone, underprivileged youth, and families, thereby fostering community integration through sports exchanges and material support.

The Concert Hall of the Hong Kong City Hall was brilliantly illuminated as YWCA organised the National Day Concert “Yang Xue and Hong Kong YWCA Chinese Orchestra”, celebrating the 76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 105th Anniversary of YWCA. This artistic event, celebrating the significance of both occasions, attracted over 1,200 attendees who experienced the captivating fusion of tradition and modernity through ethnic music. The concert welcomed numerous distinguished guests, including Ms.

“Celebrating National Day in Kowloon City - Caring Community Carnival”, sponsored by the Kowloon City District Office and organised by YWCA, was held successfully in late Sep. In her welcome speech, Ms. Woo Yuen Ling, Service Director (Employment Services & YWCA Movement) of YWCA expressed the wish to unite the residents of Kowloon City District with a joyful carnival, to celebrate the 76th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, as well as to understand and appreciate traditional culture and national treasures.

The Hong Kong Housing Authority has officially launched the Sai Wan Estate Information Gallery and the “Stairway Stories” Trail. Having served the community for years, YWCA Sai Wan Social Centre for the Elderly offered support to build a fortress of community memories in Sai Wan Estate, allowing residents to relive the cherished moments of everyday life.

YWCA, in collaboration with Little Yellow Flower Foundation (hereafter referred to as LYFF), organised a movie appreciation event titled “Together in Wonder: Enjoying Light and Shadow” at the end of summer vacation, weaving warm memories for 194 individuals from 62 underprivileged families. Thanks to LYFF’s full sponsorship of theatre rental and coach transportation, children who rarely get to experience the cinema atmosphere were able to enjoy the fantastic journey of “Doraemon: Nobita's Painting World” on the big screen.  

With supported from Lee Kum Kee Family Foundation, YWCA Jockey Club Family Wellness Centre launched the “Transitioning to Secondary School Agent 1.0” programme to assist Primary 6 students and their families navigate the transition to secondary school.

After Crying Leaf, the Association’s Emotion Education Picture Book Series has received another Publishing Award in the Children and Youth category at the Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards. The winning titles, Disgusting Hair and Worrying Otter, have helped parents and children navigate emotional challenges through heartfelt storytelling grounded in professional psychological theory.

“Redefine: The First Lesson of Awakening” (“Redefine”) was an immersive experience designed to showcase the achievements of YWCA’s community innovation initiative, 21C@JC. On Aug 3, Ms. Chan Lai Chu, Assistant Director (Youth & Corrections), Social Welfare Department; Ms. Winnie Ying, Head of Charities, The Hong Kong Jockey Club; Ms. Yvonne Yeung, YWCA’s Chief Executive and youth representatives took part in a series of activities that challenged conventional boundaries and witnessed the transformation of social services.
