Jockey Club Bama Chill Club Perinatal Support Project (the Project), funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and jointly organised by YWCA, Jockey Club Institute of Healthcare, Hong Kong Metropolitan University, and the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong, recently held a launch ceremony and a pregnancy journey experience exhibition, with the presence of Dr. the Hon. To celebrate International Women's Day, YWCA collaborates with The Hong Kong Jockey Club to offer care and blessings to women from all walks of life. "Jockey Club x YWCA 3.8 Little Hands, Big Love" encouraged children to convey their love to their mothers through massage.

YWCA Warehouse Support was invited by Citybus to set up a charity booth in the “Best Bus Captain of the Year 2024”. Young people with ASD showcased their talents with a variety of products and quick drawing service. The booth received positive feedbacks from the guests and Citybus bus captains. 

YWCA continues to implement Strive and Rise Programme this year. The Association has successfully recruited more than 800 students, ranging from Form 1 to 4, coming from Kowloon City, Yau Tsim Mong District and Sham Shui Po. The programme allows them to enhance their abilities and build up their self-confidence. Through interaction, exchanges and sharing with the mentors, as well as participation in volunteer services and visits, participants are able to learn about themselves, broaden their horizons, develop their potentials and plan for their future.

We light up the lamp for illumination. Light also represents hope which leads you to the way out of darkness. Union Enterprises gave back to the community by organising visit to YWCA Mr. & Mrs. C.F. Tao Neighbourhood Elderly Centre. The volunteers and elderly worked together to make Turkish mosaic glass lamps with colourful glass pieces. 

YWCA is delighted to announce the launch of a cushion, in which the drawing of Edmond, an autistic child, is used. Let’s enter the world of star children and you will be impressed by their creativity!

As the co-organiser, YWCA worked with Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association, the main sponsor The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and the supporting organisation Po Leung Kuk Riverain Primary School to launch the event, “Together We Care 2024”. Mr. Li Xiao-peng, previous national gymnast, and a group of retired elite athletes attended the event to spread love and care to 2,800 families in need.

YWCA has been committed to providing quality services together with the support of latest technology. The “Hong Kong Jockey Club e-Platform to Achieve Smart Service for On-site Pre-school Rehabilitation Service” (e-PASS OPRS), jointly developed by the Association and other social welfare organisations, received recognition in Hong Kong ICT Awards 2024, namely Grand Award, Smart People Award and Gold Award in the Smart Transformation (Solution for Charitable Sector) category.
